My Frozen Screwdriver WW “Lifestyle”

One of the many blog feeds I subscribe to is CalorieLab, and a recent CL post included the following snippet:

Video blogger Faint Starlight, also known as 24-year-old Esther Brady, has been working for Weight Watchers this year to spread her success story of having lost nearly 70 pounds with the program. She shares her insights on losing weight, staying motivated and a host of other issues on her YouTube page as well as the Weight Watchers page on MySpace and says losing weight has changed almost every part of her body…

Naturally I proceeded to track down aforementioned woman online because I wanted stats! I’m a geek who’s always been infatuated with words but secretly, secretly loves numbers. When I saw that she weighed 106 pounds I freaked out for a split second before doing the requisite Google stalking to find out that she’s 5 feet tall. Phew.

I checked out her latest vlog posted on WW’s myspace and, after adding the page as one of my friends, noticed some very amusing badges which had been automatically generated.

Number 1:

Number 2:

I’ve poked fun and made derisive comments about this particular ad campaign in the past, and these badges are rendered all the more ironic considering the fact that in these images (featuring my Myspace default pic) I am guzzling what is probably a 2-billion-Point frozen screwdriver. Heh! I want to generate one of these with an image of my face stuffed with Peeps.

All that being said . . . the program is my old fallback and I will probably be rejoining soon. Weight Watchers, I just can’t seem to quit you.

I’ve seen these “Diets are mean” signs on cabs all over Chicago lately. They make me smile…but your giant Screwdriver makes it even better. Go girl!
